.....Baby One More Time - Britney Spears

The Album that created the ultimate Pop Princess and spawned a celebrity facination that perseveres to the present day. Britney Spears 1999 debut is Bubble Gum Senseless Fun and became THE teen Pop album of the decade. On Soda Pop she fairly belts it out, but what's lacking in vocal ability on other tracks is more than made up for in catchy beats, irristable Euro Dance rhythm and the unforgettable intro to Baby One More Time. In terms of affect and reach you can't argue with 14 times Platinum: Cute girl next door meets schoolgirl vixen, Britney is going to BRING IT to Thursday mornings Critical Junction!

Hee hee, the one morning I use the car (instead of the motorbike) for my commute and you had to go and have britney as the critical junction choice. Flabbergasted ;c)! Nice one playing Sylvian back-to-back with the britney tune tho :c). If you're taking suggestions for albums then I'd suggest Pink Flag by Wire and also The Specials first album as pivotal albums. Love the show.

Cheers Roddymonsta, we just thought it would be fun to stir it up a little, the response was great (if loads of texts giving out is a good thing?) The Specials are a great suggestion! And that Sylvian track is a personal favourite at the moment, so we'll be playing it again....not sure about Britney though!
